Vision "Declaring the Kingdom of God is at Hand" Mission To IMPACT the community in which we live, By Presenting a Gospel That Ministers to the WHOLE Man Body, Soul, & Spirit. To Bring God's People Into His Presence By The Ministry of God's Word Thru Preaching & Teaching, Music & Song, and Living a Life That Is a Witness to All of the Power of the Holy Ghost. GoalsExalt the Savior(John 3:14) "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up"(John 12:32) "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." Equip the Saints(Ephesians 4:11-12) "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Evangelize the Sinner(Matthew 28:19-20) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Our VisionThe vision of Greater Ekklesia Youth Department is to reveal the glory of God to our youth through age appropriate resources. To allow them to experience God for themselves, and for Him to have an impact in their lives. To encourage parental involvement, enabling learning to be a family affair. Our Mission Is to prepare our young people for today's challenges by providing for their spiritual, intellectual and practical needs by using one of the following themes: God's Little GEM's"Train up a child" (Proverbs 22:6) Primary"Take & Make" (Jeremiah 18:4) Juniors"Becoming Established" (Proverbs 16:3) Senior"Equip to work" (Ephesians 4:12) Our GoalsAnnual Youth Explosion "Think Tank" Youth Recognition Program THE EMBLEMThe Emblem of Greater Ekklesia Ministries was created in July, 2000 as the Lord impressed it upon the heart of Bishop Mark A. Smith. Its original creation was in black and white, and upon arrival in Valdosta, GA; the color began to come through. The color Purple, Sign of riches, worn by royalty, & used in the Tabernacle denotes that "we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people: that shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." The Red Band, represents the Blood of Jesus; that we sealed by His Blood. The color Gold, it too was used in the Tabernacle as it presents Holy adornment. It also is figurative of the Saints after they have been refined.you come forth as Pure Gold!!! The Dove, represents the Holy Spirit, as when Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, the Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove, and a voice from heaven said "Thou art my beloved son in whom I am well pleased." This Spirit must not only descend, but remain. The dove is also an emblem of peace, for the scripture states, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." The Bible, is infallible - from Alpha to Omega, beginning to end. It is our rule and guide, our hope is built on nothing less. The window through which we see GOD!!! Communion, one of the last great acts that our Lord left for us. As we commune together, we show forth His love, for the scripture saith, "they will know that you are my disciples, by the love you have for the brethren." Prayer, the most important thing we do.our fellowship with God. It is here that we receive instructions from God as to what His Will is in the earth. The Golden Candlestick, represents the illumination of knowledge that God gives. The nine points allude to the nine spiritual gifts of the Holy Ghost. The Sword-shaped Cross, represents the suffering of Christ, His love for us. The Sword also represents the Sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, dividing asunder the soul & spirit. The Sword here appears with its blade down, at rest, as we labor to enter into the rest of God, and cease from our own works - Christ Fights My Battles. We at Greater Ekklesia Ministries have been "called"(kaleo)"out of"(Ek) the world to impact the community, fulfilling the scripture of our Lord in Mark 1:15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." God has placed a "GEM" in the body of Christ. WE ARE DECLARING THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND!!! I Know Who I Am
I Know Who I Am "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:" (1 Peter 2:9) I Am Chosen.(Ek-lek-toos) "electic" EK "out of," lego "to pick, gather" denotes one picked out for special service or to obtain special privileges and opportunities I refer to as FAVOR!!! In accepting Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, I also come into the knowledge of Knowing Who I Am. I Know. " That I Am a Royal Priesthood." I Know. "An holy nation." I Know. "That I Am a peculiar people." I Know. "That all things work together for good." I Know. "There is therefore now no condemnation for them who are in Christ Jesus" I Know. "That I Am an heir and joint heir with Christ" I Know."That no weapon formed against me shall prosper," I Know. "That the devil is defeated." And being fully persuaded of what I now know I realize that. "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!" You can't do what you don't know. And I Know Who I Am!!! |
